Download of data for new securities fails

Description
When adding a security via New>Security, and creating a new Chart, a dialog asks whether to download new data, but nothing happens after that.
Note that when one selects a security from the predefined list (via New>US Stock Security, select from dialog), the data is downloaded correctly.
So adding to the predefined security list would be a work around. However, no information is available how to do that.
I was using the yahoo download. This bug may be misclassified due to unfamiliarity with the bug system.

Update: The same behavior is observed on every data feed defined. A window is popped up saying "No data available. Would you like to download the chart data now?" but when clicking "yes" the dialog just goes away and nothing happens. In contrast, when using a predefined security, a new dialog is shown indicating that the download is taking place.
