Markets
Markets are logical groups of instruments that have common characteristics such as data sources, brokers and trade times. Common markets names are NYSE, MIB, FTSE, etc.
Changes in a market property are reflected to all securities that belong to that market. For example, you have a NYSE market that receives delayed quotes from Yahoo! Finance, when you change the data source to a realtime data provider, all securities that belong to the NYSE market automatically are switched to the realtime data provider. This also allows you to setup a backup data provider in case the main provider is not available.
